Humble Beginnings

 

 What started out as an original family recipe and coincidentally our first flagship product, was our homemade spice apricot jam. A recipe we saved and made only for special occasions as gifts for friends or family gatherings. But it seemed we could never make enough when we made batches. And so in 2016, at our beloved family restaurant we began making it in larger batches in the kitchen and selling it by the jar over the counter. And soon it became one of our most popular staple to-go dishes and a source of joy for so many of our loyal customers. Unfortunately in 2020 due to the covid global shutdown and other factors, our owner, my mother Kellie, decided that it was time to focus on other projects and to let go of The Parkside restaurant & lounge. And although it was a hard decision, it was necessary. But even though we had to turn off those lights, all those years spent in the kitchen added up to not just one but a book full of wonderful recipes that we hope to bring back. And so were excited to keep sharing our family recipes and providing those same great flavors we offered all those years ago.

And so parred with our classic spice jam recipe, we are also offering 4 flavors of our old fashion canned cobbler!

All of our recipe products are made with fresh, quality ingredients and carefully crafted with the same love and attention we've always poured into it. Because after all, if you're going to make food stuffs, you should make them freakin' good.
