Jam French Rolls
These jam-filled bread scrolls are a fun treat for the whole family! Once you add cinnamon and fry them, they're a cross between French toast and jelly doughnuts!
The 8 ingredients needed:
- 8 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 80g Philadelphia Cream Cheese, at room temperature
- 80g Freakin Good strawberry jam
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 100g (1/2 cup) cinnamon sugar
- 30g butter
- 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
Instructions:
- Step 1: Use a rolling pin to roll the bread until flat. Spread each slice with 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese and top with 2 teaspoons of the jam. Roll up firmly to enclose.
- Step 2: Whisk the egg and milk in a shallow bowl. Spread cinnamon sugar on a plate. Dip the rolls in the egg mixture.
- Step 3: Melt half the butter and half the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook half the rolls, turning, for 4 minutes or until golden. Transfer to cinnamon sugar and toss to coat. Repeat with remaining rolls, butter, oil and cinnamon sugar. Serve warm.
